Current Functionality

The Quick Find Setup currently includes the following searchable areas:

• Personnel

• Aircraft

• Location

• Pages

• Audit

• Document

While Safety Reporting can be searched using the "Perform Search" bar, it requires users to:

1. Enter the complete Safety Report number/identification

2. Press Enter to navigate to the specific report

This process is less efficient compared to other Quick Find areas and does not support partial search or dropdown suggestions.

Proposed Enhancement

We propose adding Safety Reporting as a selectable area within the Quick Find Setup, with the following improvements:

1. Include Safety Reporting in Quick Find Areas
   Add "Safety Reporting" to the list of available areas alongside Personnel, Aircraft, Location, Pages, Audit, and Document.

2. Enable Partial Search with Auto-Suggestions
   Allow users to enter a minimum of three (3) characters from a Safety Report number/identification and display matching results in a dropdown list (respecting the "Max. results to return" setting).

3. Streamlined Navigation
   Users should be able to select a Safety Report directly from the dropdown suggestions, eliminating the need to enter the full report number and press Enter.

Use Case Example

A user needs to review Safety Report SR-2024-1234.

Current Process:

• Navigate to "Perform Search"

• Type the full report number: SR-2024-1234

• Press Enter

• Navigate to the report

Proposed Process:

• Select "Safety Reporting" from Quick Find

• Type SR- or SR-202

• Select the desired report from the dropdown list

• Navigate directly to the report
