Currently, if a recency contained within a composite item is incomplete or expired, it goes to the bottom of the list. This is particularly unhelpful if the composite item contains more than 10 recencies, as the user must click through to page 2 or change the page size to see what the item is flagging as due.
As the expired/incomplete items are the ones requiring attention, it would make a lot more sense for them to be at the top of the list.
